What is the last project open in your DAW?

It's a new solo track that I am just finishing. :)

What does your average work week look like?

Mostly I have two or tree days of some recordings in a big studio and then I spend the rest of the week in my studio working on projects. And weekend is either Djing or some more work :)

What do you enjoy the most, producing or playing?

This is really hard to answer, but both are great and both could drive you crazy at some times.:) But I love the balance. If you have enough time for the studio and then I am really looking forward to go out and spend the time with people talking and playing my music.

What is your every day synthesizer & what types of sounds do you work the most with it?

It would be Fm8. And you can do nearly every sound with it. I love the flexible envelopes. And Ob-6. That is a dream synth that I always wanted without knowing about it :)!

What is the most important aspect of a drum and bass track today in your opinion?

It was and still is the vibe. I need to get some feelings out of it. And of course the sound quality.

Rhythm of life is HUGE and well colored, can you tell us some short idea about the tools that you used behind this album, synths fx’s, etc...?

I have done the whole album inside the box. I used Cubase 8.5 for most of the album. One or two older tunes were done using Cubase 6. Most of the synths were done using Fm8 or Serum. I also used UAD plugins that I really like. Mostly I used the tape saturations or emulations of the classic desk boards. Most of the reverbs are Lexicon Pcm plugins that are one of mine favorites. I do use in the other studios the 960 outboard that is excellent piece of equipment. So its nice to be able to get that rich reverb sound also for more accessible price :)

What was your biggest track project challenge?

It would be Pure frequency. I spent so much time on the mixdown to get it right. So I totally hated it :). But at the end I manage to get it sounding close enough to what I wanted.

Where do you see the future of Drum and Bass sound design?

Well I think that the sound is gonna get more dynamic, round and not that pushed. There are already great tools for pushing your mix without totally smashing the dynamics.

What challenges you when you start a new project?

I always want to try something different. I never start from the template (which some time could be a good thing) so I don't end up with just a variation of a previous track. But now I really want to explore more of the analogue world again. Having hands on is such a big inspiration.

Can you tell us about future projects?

I am already working on my new Ep and as well working on some new collaborations. And besides that I am working on some non drum and bass music. Mostly eletronic plus some orchestral score compositions.

What types of gear can we find around your studio?

I use pc plus Adam a7x speakers with subwoofer. RME sound card. Virus B plus Ob-6. In the future I would love to get some nice analogue summing desk and few outboards effects.

How many hours a week do you dedicate to your studio production?

That depends on if I have another sound engineering projects. If not It would be 8 hours a day 5 days a week. But mostly as I said I have roughly 2 days to spend with production.

What DAW do you use the most?

Cubase 8.5. I use cubase for all my music production projects. And I use Protools 12 for my sound engineering projects.
